Comments Bremerton National Tour July 26th and 27th found Ron and Annie at the Bremerton National Tour. The temperatures were a lot more comfortable than the previous weekend in Wendover, being around 80 degrees each day. Ron was again running the BMW in DS. He once again took the lead right off the start and kept it to the finish, ultimately winning by 2.8 seconds over Brent Vitolins in his Integra Type R. Brent did a great job all weekend, finishing only 9/10ths of a second behind Ron on Saturday. Annie was the only driver signed up in DSL, so after much deliberation, she decided to run her Spec Miata race car in DSP. Ron and Annie had both run this car on the practice course on Friday on the Toyo Tires that they use for road racing, and the car seemed to be very competitive there. Fellow competitor, Gretchen Everett offered up her Kumho Ecsta V700s for Annie to run on the car for the Tour. Annie did an outstanding job, finishing Saturday with a lead of about 1/10th of a second over California driver, Donald Lew. Sunday's course looked to favor the cars with more torque, of which Donald's Supra, and Brad Greco's GTI both had. Annie still ran some great runs to finish the weekend 3rd in this class of 16 drivers (all male by the way except for Annie!!)
